Emirati coffee with cardamom, 500 g pack

A coffee's name, grind and pack format tell you different things. Before ordering, decide whether you want coffee to brew in your usual way or an instant sachet format, then choose the flavour you enjoy. Here is a practical comparison of the Arabic and Turkish coffee available at Themar Al Alia in the UAE.

Compare the five choices

Coffee Style and flavour Pack
Emirati coffee with cardamom Roasted coffee with aromatic cardamom 500 g
Saudi coffee Lightly roasted coffee with aromatic spice flavours 500 g
Turkish coffee Fine grind, strong flavour and rich aroma 500 g
Keaf Al Musafer cardamom coffee Instant Arabic coffee with cardamom flavour 300 g: 10 × 30 g sachets
Keaf Al Musafer saffron coffee Instant Arabic coffee with saffron flavour 300 g: 10 × 30 g sachets

Choose by preparation style

For Turkish-style preparation, choose the finely ground Turkish coffee. If you are choosing between the Arabic coffees, use the product descriptions to compare the Emirati cardamom option and the lightly roasted Saudi option. Keaf Al Musafer offers a different format: individual sachets of instant Arabic coffee. These sachets should not be compared with a 500 g pack as though the packs were identical.

Follow the preparation directions on the product you buy. The current Keaf Al Musafer instructions specify one 30 g sachet with 1 litre of boiling water in a dallah. This direction applies to those sachets; use the relevant pack instructions for the other coffees.

Cardamom or saffron?

If you enjoy cardamom, compare Emirati coffee with cardamom and the Keaf Al Musafer cardamom sachets, then choose your preferred preparation format. For the sachet format with a saffron flavour, select the separate Keaf Al Musafer saffron product. The 300 g box weight includes ten sachets; it is not the weight of one sachet.

What can you serve with your coffee?

Build a plate around the textures you enjoy: Palestinian Medjoul, Medina Ajwa or Saggae dates. For a prepared sweet, compare maamoul and date sweets. Nuts and dried fruits add another serving option; check the ingredients on each product when choosing for guests.

Before adding to your basket

  • Check the coffee style and flavour, especially when names or packaging look similar.
  • Confirm whether you are buying a 500 g pack or a 300 g box of sachets.
  • Read the current price, availability and preparation directions on the product page.
